The Seehuus opened in May 2016 and is idyllically located directly on the lake, just below the campsite. Camping Seehorn is nestled in the Oberthurgau holiday region, right on beautiful Lake Constance, not far from St. Gallen and the Appenzell region.
Whether you’re looking for a holiday spot for a camping adventure, a mobile home or PODhouse for a comfortable stay, or a permanent pitch for your second home, we offer spacious grounds with direct lake access, modern infrastructure, and excellent transport connections.

Motorhome and caravan parking spaces
- Enjoy the space on our generous 100 m² and 120 m² plots, each with partitioned parking areas and beautiful green spaces.
- You’ll find connections for electricity, fresh water, and wastewater right on your plot.
- You can conveniently park your car directly on the plot.
Parceled campsites available by reservation
Reserve one of the 100 m² pitches, idyllically located by the Holzbach stream.
Unparceled tent sites – no reservation required
Spontaneous stay at our campsite?
Every day between 1:30 p.m. and 6:00 p.m., you can inquire at the reception desk about available spots on the tent field. For organizational reasons, reservations are not possible for the tent field.
Holiday mobile homes
- Comfortable bungalows accommodating up to 6 people.
- Each bungalow features a bathroom, a fully equipped kitchen with stove, refrigerator, and coffee maker, a seating area, TV, and a covered terrace.
- Bed linen and towels are provided.
PODhouses
- The PODhouse is a type of insulated wooden igloo and a comfortable alternative to a tent.
- It is equipped with four sleeping places, a table with chairs, lighting, electric heating, and a wooden veranda.
- Sanitary and cooking facilities are located nearby.
BUGG
- The BUGG is an insulated wooden cabin and a comfortable alternative to a tent.
- It is equipped with a double bed, a single bed with a pull-out function, a table with chairs, lighting, electric heating, and a wooden veranda.
- Sanitary facilities, cooking facilities, and a lounge are located nearby.
Seasonal and permanent sites
Our seasonal and permanent pitches are available from March 1 to October 31. The seasonal pitches are suitable for caravans and feature well-maintained lawns, as well as electricity, water, and sewage connections.
Depending on location and size, prices range from CHF 2,800 to CHF 4,000 per season (March to October).
Permanent pitches are usually occupied by mobile homes, which are purchased from the previous tenant depending on their condition. These pitches are permanently connected to electricity, fresh water, and sewage. The tenant is responsible for designing and maintaining the outdoor area of the plot. Depending on location and size, a permanent pitch costs between CHF 4,000 and CHF 6,500 per season (March to October).
Currently, there is a waiting list for all pitches. The waiting time is difficult to predict but can be several years. If you are interested, please call us to arrange an appointment to discuss your requirements and options in a personal meeting on site.
Facilities
Our modern infrastructure and facilities will delight all camping enthusiasts. Enjoy our spacious sanitary facilities, a variety of cooking and barbecue options, and a wide range of indoor and outdoor games. Explore the Lake Constance region with a DACIA Dokker rental car. Leave your motorhome behind and comfortably discover the area with a spacious Seehorn car.
- Spacious bathrooms with toilets, sinks, and showers are available for free use.
- In the wellness bathroom, featuring a large tub, you can enjoy a relaxing bath for a fee.
- There is also a baby room with a changing table and a small bathtub.
- People with mobility impairments have barrier-free access to a spacious disabled bathroom.
- A children’s bathroom with child-friendly toilets and sinks is also available.
Our facility is very well suited for people with mobility impairments. The entire network of paths, the spacious meeting room, and the wheelchair-accessible disabled bathroom with toilet, sink, and shower can all be accessed using a wheelchair or walker.
- A modern kitchen with a refrigerator, stove, and cooking utensils is available for preparing your meals.
- A separate dishwashing room is equipped with several double sinks and ample storage space.
- Enjoy a barbecue lunch or romantic evenings by the open fire.
- Barbecue areas with covered seating are available for your use.
- You are also welcome to use the public fire pit at the lakeside bathing area.
- Laundry room with washing machines, tumble dryers, and ironing facilities.
- A drying room with a dehumidifier offers quick drying for wet clothes.
The Holzbach stream flows tranquilly through the campground and, with its fire pit and natural playground, serves as a meeting place for guests of all ages. The spacious games room, featuring a pool table and foosball table, offers a welcome change of pace. In the large, glass-enclosed meeting room, you can enjoy convivial evenings watching exciting movies or sporting events.
Discover the Lake Constance region with a DACIA Dokker rental car. Leave your motorhome behind and comfortably explore the area in a spacious Seehorn car—a great alternative even in bad weather.
In addition to the restaurant service, vacationers in Wiedehorn can enjoy refreshments from the takeaway during the summer months. Alongside sweets and ice cream, there are also small snacks and drinks available to take back to the campsite or enjoy on the sunbathing lawn.
You can order fresh bread every day from our small campsite shop. We also offer a wide range of everyday products. For larger purchases, we recommend Volg in Egnach, which is easily accessible by bike via the Seeradweg cycle path. Alternatively, you can visit one of the many farm shops in the region.
Dogs are very welcome at our campsite! To ensure you have a pleasant stay with your four-legged friend, we provide a dog shower for refreshing your pet and a private pebble beach for splashing around. Explore nature together on the region’s beautiful walking trails and enjoy relaxing hours at your pitch—you are also welcome to set up a dog run there. We kindly ask that you keep your dog on a leash while on the premises and dispose of your dog’s waste to ensure all guests feel comfortable.

Surrounded by fruit trees, the “Landgasthof zum Verlieben” is located just above the campsite. Here, you can enjoy a diverse regional cuisine of the highest standard.
